In the 1970s, the Chinese city of Xiamen was reclaimed from the sea in response to a national call.With the passage of time and the development of industry, areas like tidal flats that show the changes of natural tides gradually disappear and are replaced by clear artificial boundaries.
Egret bird as xiamen city, the ancient times will thrive on the island, they are used to gather, the west side of the island used to be the gulf, now known as Yun Dang lake.In recent decades they inhabit space will be squeezed, feeding area used to be strictly controlled in a particular area, they in Yun Dang lake state become very stiff.We hope to reconstruct the restored site from the perspective of egrets by studying the ecology of tidal flats and egrets' behaviors, and human beings occupy the site alternately with egrets in the ebb and flow of tides.
